Step 1: Type “Printers” in the Windows search box.
Step 2: Click on “Devices and Printers”.
Step 3: Click on “Add a local printer”.
Step 4: Click on “Create a new port”.
Step 5: From the dropdown menu, click on “Standard TCP/IP Port”.
Step 6: Type your printer’s IP address in the “IP Address” or “Hostname” box.
Step 7: Click on “Next”.
Step 8: Your printer driver should be automatically detected. If that doesn’t happen, then you need to search for it in the displayed list. If you can’t find the driver in the drivers’ list, click on “Windows update”. Wait for some seconds for the driver to be listed.

Step 13: Once your computer finds your printer driver, in the field for “Printer name”, type a name that your HP printer will be identified with.
Step 14: Click “Next”.
Step 15: Click “Do not share this printer” in the window for Printer Sharing.
Step 16: Click “Next”.
Step 17: Click on the box for “Set as the default printer” if you want your printer to be the default printer.
Step 18: Test your printer by printing a test page.
If you are satisfied, move to the next step.
Step 19: Click on “Finish”.
Your HP printer should be listed now in the “Devices and Printers”. Hence, you can select it when you try to print from any app with a print feature.
