The blinking lid open light and P2 displayed on the control panel display are indications that your printer just finished copying one side of an ID card and needs to copy the other side.

To continue the copy job, do the following steps:

Step 1: Open your printer’s scanner lid.

Step 2: Flip the ID card to the other side.

Step 3: Close your printer’s scanner lid.

Step 4: Press your printer’s Resume button.

Your printer will copy the other side of the ID card.

Blinking Power Light and a Busy Indicator is Displayed – Meaning of HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1200 Printer Lights

When this happens, it means that your printer has become too hot, and is unable to continue its operation.

You don’t need to panic when this happens; simply wait for your printer to cool off. Once your printer becomes cool, printing will resume automatically. The cool-down period can last from 3 minutes to 15 minutes.

Caution: Don’t turn off your printer when it is in this cooling state.     

If your printer fails to resume printing after 15 minutes, wait a little longer.

If it still fails to resume printing, you need to service your printer.
