You can also add your USB-connected printer with the following steps

Step 1: Search for “Change Device Installation Settings” from Windows. Also, ensure you check “Yes (recommended)”.

Step 2: Ensure your computer has an available USB. Also, don’t connect your printer to any docking station or USB hub. If you do this, the machine may not operate properly due to insufficient power.

Step 3: Switch the printer and connect your USB cable to your computer and printer.

Step 4: The message “Found new hardware” will be displayed. Follow the on-screen instructions to install your printer. If you can now print, then the driver has been successfully installed. If you can’t, then do the steps below to complete the setup.

Step 5: Search for “Add a Printer or Scanner” from Windows and run it.

Step 6: Click on “Add a Printer or Scanner”. Windows will search for available printers. Once the list of available printers comes up, select your printer by clicking on it and then clicking on “Add Device”.

Step 7: If the printer you want isn’t among the list of available printers, then click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed”.

Step 8: A “Find a printer by other options” screen will come up. Choose “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” then click on “Next”.
