Step 1: Enable the Bluetooth on your printer.

The steps for this process vary depending on your printer’s model. Therefore, if you have access to your printer manual, we recommend that you consult it.

If you don’t have access to your printer manual, try the instructions below.

i. If your printer has a “Bluetooth” button, press it to enable the function.

ii. On your printer, go to the menu for “Network” or “Setup”, and then look for the Bluetooth settings. When you find it, turn on your printer’s Bluetooth.

Step 2: On the device you want to connect your HP printer to, go to the Bluetooth settings, and then verify that the Bluetooth is on.

HP printers without built-in Bluetooth require a Bluetooth adapter to enable Bluetooth printing. The latest release year of such printers was 2008, and it includes some Photosmart, Officejet, and Deskjet printers.

You cannot buy such printers directly from HP anymore because they have been discontinued. The supported Bluetooth adapters for these printers are bt500 and bt300. These adapters also cannot be purchased from HP. However, you can get them from retail stores or an auction online.
