Blinking Attention, Ready, and Go Lights on HP Color LaserJet 2550 Printers – HP 2550l Printer Warning Lights

This indicates that an accessory error has occurred with an installed DIMM or the HP Jetdirect print server. When this happens, your printer will stop printing and nothing changes when you print any button on the printer.

To resolve this problem, hold down the “Go” button. This action will display a secondary light pattern. In most cases, when you press down the “Go” button, the attention, ready, and go lights will stop blinking and only the go light will be turned on. This HP printer warning light pattern is an indication that the inserted DIMM has a problem.

Caution: To insert or remove the DIMM, ensure that you turn off your HP printer to prevent damage to the DIMM.

To fix this DIMM problem, you need to do the following tasks:

HP Color LaserJet Pro M182nw Wireless All-in-One Laser Printer, Remote Mobile Print, Scan & Copy, Works with Alexa (7KW55A)

If the installed DIMM is not supported by your HP printer, you will encounter this accessory error. Therefore, you need to ensure that you are using a supported DIMM. HP Color LaserJet 2550 printers support the use of 128 MB DIMM. The part number for supported DIMMs is C7845A.

If the DIMM is not supported, you need to replace it with a supported DIMM.

However, if the installed DIMM is supported, do the next task.

3. Use Another DIMM Slot – HP 2550l Printer Warning Lights

The DIMM slot 1 might be damaged; therefore, to confirm this, take out the DIMM from the slot, and then insert it in another DIMM slot.

If the error is resolved when you use another DIMM slot, then it means that DIMM slot 1 is damaged. Therefore, continue to use the DIMM in the other slot.

If the error remains unresolved even after using another DIMM slot, do the next task.

4. Print without the DIMM – HP 2550l Printer Warning Lights

You can still print without installing the DIMM. Therefore, if the DIMM keeps giving problems, remove it from the DIMM slot 1, and then print without it.
