How do I Install HP Printer Assistant on Windows 10? [Solved]

To download the HP Support Assistant on your Windows 10, simply go to HP Support and go to the Support Assistant download page. After downloading the tool, follow the on-screen prompts to install it.

Why Can’t I Install HP Printer on Windows 10 [Reason & Solution]

One reason you may be unable to install an HP printer on Windows 10 is that you started an HP software installation process that failed. In this case, when you try installing new HP software, the initial failed installation will cause the new download to fail.

This is because the failed installation package may have left some registry information or locked files behind.

Therefore, to solve the issue, you simply need to uninstall the failed installation package and then proceed to reinstall a new package.

How to Uninstall a Failed Installation Package

Follow these steps to uninstall a failed installation package on your Windows 10:

Step 1: Open your PC’s “Control Panel”.

Step 2: Select “Programs”, then “Programs and Features”.

Step 3: Search for the failed installation on the list of programs, select the package.

Step 4: Now, click on “Uninstall” to uninstall it from the PC.

If the installation failed very early when it was downloading, you may not find it to delete this way. In which case, you may scan and clean your Windows registry with the tool “Microsoft Fix It”.

After doing these steps, try installing the printer’s software package again. If you still can’t install your HP printer on Windows 10 after doing this, then chances are your USB connection is bad.

It may either be a case of a spoilt USB cable or a bad USB port. If the cable is bad, you have to replace the cable to solve the problem. But if it is the port that is bad, you just have to connect the USB cable to a new port.

Step 9: Push in the cartridge gently until you hear it snap in place.

Step 10: If you wish to install other ink cartridges, repeat the steps.

Step 11: Close the printer’s access door when you are done.

Step 12: Now, you have to do the alignment to ensure you have a good print quality. So, when you close the access door then wait a bit. Your printer will print out an alignment page.
