Step 1: Open a browser on your computer.

Step 2: In the address bar, type http://192.168.223.1.

This action will cause your HP printer’s website to be displayed.

If the website fails to open properly, then you should use another web browser. Also, ensure that your computer is connected to Wi-Fi Direct or HP Wireless Direct connection.  

Step 3: Click on the tab labeled “Network”.

Step 4: From the navigation bar at the side, click on “Network Address (IP)”.

Step 5: Click on “Manual IP”.

Step 6: Fill the “Manual IP Address” initial 3 fields with the initial three numbers of the IPv4 Address which you found earlier in “Get the IP Address of your Router – Step 2”.

Step 7: Fill the 4th number for the manual IP address with numbers that fall within the range of 240 to 254.

Ensure that the number you enter isn’t the same as that of the 4th number of the IPv4 address from step 2.

Step 8: Fill the fields for “Manual Subnet Mask” as well as “Manual Default Gateway” using the original information that was written down in “Get the IP Address of your Router – Step 2”.

Step 9: In the field for “Manual Preferred DNS Server”, enter the same information you used in “Manual Default Gateway” above.

Step 10: Click on “Apply”.

Step 11: Plug in the router to an electric outlet and then turn on the router. Wait for a bit for the network to come online.

Step 12: Click on the “Wireless (802.11)” located on the navigation bar at the side in the Embedded Web Server Window on your computer.
